The most important part of choosing ATV parts is to know what types of parts are available out there and how to go about choosing the right parts for your ATV. Nothing could be worse than buying an ATV just to find that the ATV parts are very hard to find.

Availability of the parts is a very important factor to take into consideration. The aftermarket ATV parts business is quickly becoming a lucrative venture. The term “ATV” was originally coined to refer to non-straddle ridden 6-wheeled amphibious ATVs such as the Jiger produced by the Jiger Corporation, the Amphicat produced by Mobility Unlimited Inc , and the Terra Tiger produced by Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company in the late 1960s and early 1970s. ATV’s are motorized vehicles with big, low-pressure tires that can operate off roads and onto uneven, rough, and rocky surfaces.

The ATV vehicles are really known as All Terrain Vehicles. In addition to obeying the ATV laws and rules, it is wise to ride your ATV with common sense and courtesy. ATV dealers are required by law to register every ATV they sell to New York State residents or to non-residents before the purchaser takes delivery; unless the purchaser qualifies for an exemption from registration. In order for a person to ride an ATV safely and effectively, they must be able to use their body weight to help make the quad turn.

The ATV is commonly called a quad (bike) in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and parts of Canada, India and the United States. Declining coverage of ATV racing, and the demise in 2009 of QUAD magazine and ATVSport magazine, has given TPR Quad Promotions renewed purpose. Let the ATVs continue to destroy the countryside ,eventually all those 3 foot deep ruts caused by spinning lug tires, may just cave in. Or , add up the COST of all the destruction and charge the ATV folks a fee to repair the damage they cause.

Riding an ATV builds confidence and familiarity in a very controlled environment. It is also very important to wear safety gear when riding any kind of ATV. The number one reason for most injuries form ATV accidents is not wearing a helmet . Off-road riding is great fun! When you take proper safety precautions, injury is less likely to occur.
